Who we are
YD Pharmaceuticals, headquartered in Porto, is one of the few GMP-certified indoor cannabis cultivation facilities in Europe. With three years of operational experience, the facility boasts an impressive 5,000 square meters of space, including cutting-edge equipment and systems.
Missions and values
At YD Pharmaceuticals, our mission is to provide the pharmaceutical industry with topgrade medical cannabis products, adhering to the highest standards of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). We are patient-focused, cultivating and transforming cannabis to meet patients’ unique needs. Research and development are central to our efforts, and we collaborate with esteemed research entities to develop new cannabis-based medications.
Our ambitions
Produce Medical Cannabis
We are working on a project to grow cannabis to pharmaceutical standards in Europe, with the aim of making it available to patients.
Medical cannabis is grown in a secure environment, with strict control over environmental conditions. What’s more, it complies with drug manufacturing standards and calls on the services of qualified experts. It is therefore a serious laboratory process that will take a few more years to achieve stability, with the ultimate aim of creating medicines.
Creating medicines
The manufacture of therapeutic cannabis in Europe aims to ensure the creation of medicines whose formulation is tailored to the specific therapeutic objective.
The aim of our initiative is to design specialised medicines that meet the needs of various medical conditions.
Focusing on patients needs
Supporting patients by producing medical cannabis for the development of medicines in the public interest is the aim of our project.
YD is committed to research with a view to creating treatments and therapeutic advances for the benefit of patients.
Patients themselves contribute to the creation of these medicines by sharing their experiences. YD was founded by a pharmacist who understands patient demand and the importance of being patients centered.
